Yongbiao XUE is Senior Principal Investigator of the Institute of Genetics and
Developmental Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Director of Beijing
Institute of Genomics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and China National Center
for Bioinformation (2014-2023); Principal Investigator and Director of the Institute
of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing,
China (2004-2014). Ph. D., University of East Anglia and John Innes Centre, UK
(1987-1989); Postdoctoral Fellow, John Innes Center and University of Oxford
(1990-1995); Research Scientist, Sainsbury Laboratory in Norwich, UK (1995-1997).
His work mainly focuses on the molecular genetics and genomics of self-incompatibility
of angiosperms and important agronomic traits of crops including rice. He currently
serves as the 10th President of the Genetics Society of China, Honorary
Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Genetics and Genomics as well as an editorial
or advisory member of numerous journals including Plant Reproduction, Biology
Open, and PPP. He also is a Plant Biology Faculty Member of F1000. He has
published over 150 peer-reviewed papers.
